The Nellie and Sybil Sagas, Book 1

Nellie and Sybil are childhood friends from school days. They lost touch for a while and went their separate ways in life - Sybil a successful actress, and Nellie a nurse, and each with a marriage, children and then divorce behind them. When they meet again in their 70s the strong bonds of friendship are still there, but the variation in their characters have widened noticeably - life having moulded them in very different ways.

Sybil has a laconic and sharp wit and Nellie has a brain that floats on an air of innocence and is on a completely different planet which seems to be mainly made up of blancmange.

These stories, loosely based on true events, show how the adventures and wisdom of two totally different characters can complement each other and form a friendship that stays forever.

Equally, they demonstrate how growing older does not have to be boring, full of legal medication, diet watching and moderate exercise, but can, in fact, open doors and give permission to behave very badly in ways that would be difficult to get away with when younger.
